Owner ‘cancels' shares in Dulwich Hamlet
According to the latest annual return submitted to Companies House, the owner of Dulwich Hamlet Football Club, Nick McCormack, appears to have effectively ‘cancelled' the shareholdings of many small supporter-shareholders in the limited company that runs the club and now claims to own 100% of the club's stock. Eddie Muraszko, Chair of Dulwich Hamlet Supporters' Trust (DHST), said "There are over 60 small shareholders in the football club and many of them are lifelong supporters who hold shares out of love for their club. But it now seems that the owner put all the shares in his name. DHST is one of these shareholders and received no notification that there was such a change in ownership and we question how this has come about."
Eddie Muraszko continued, "It may well be that the owner simply made a mistake in filling out the annual return, we just don't know. However on behalf of the fans the Trust urges him to issue a public statement to clarify the matter. "
