DHST cut membership fee by 50%
The Board of DHST has decided that the 2008 membership renewal will last TWO YEARS instead of one, effectively halving the mebership fee for those joining up. The membership term will run from 1st February 2008 to 31st January 2010 and will be set at the previous levels of £10 for adults and £2 for juniors.
The renewal letter for existing members sets out DHST's achievements this year and the reason for the cut in membership fees. Our revised Aims and Objectives can be found here.
Commenting on the change in fees, DHST Chair, Eddie Muraszko said "With the conclusion of our successful campaign on ground designation and with the club taking over our operation of the Club Shop, we felt it was only fair to recognise the changed level of activity. However there is still much to do, and we are really hoping that the effective 50% price cut will encourage new and lapsed members to join for the next two years"

DHST move to Secure the Future for Champion Hill
Building on the momentum gained from the launch of the Future of Champion Hill document, DHST's campaign to ensure football continues to be played at Champion Hill was given a major boost when Other Open Space (OOS) land designation for Champion Hill was approved by the Council's General Assembly on 24th January 2007.
The new designation provides the football club with protection against property developers as it means that any development on the ground would have to find an alternative and suitable site elsewhere in Southwark.
